Ayodhya Ram Temple Consecration: Room Prices At Cygnett Collection KK Surge To Rs 85000
The Ayodhya Development Authority is expecting a footfall of three lakh tourists every day during the initial months after the inauguration.

With only a few days left before the inauguration of Ram Temple, Ayodhya city is all geared up to welcome guests from all over India. It has revamped its railway station, airport and beautified roads for this occasion. The inauguration ceremony of the Ram Temple is scheduled to take place on January 22. Various celebrities, industrialists and veteran politicians will be gracing this historical event. The Ayodhya Development Authority is expecting a footfall of three lakh tourists every day during the initial months after the inauguration. India’s top hotel chains are eyeing for a huge business opportunity in the temple town. As per media reports, the average rent of some hotel rooms in the city has now crossed Rs 85,000.

The demand for hotels has increased rapidly in Lucknow, Prayagraj and Gorakhpur, which fall within a radius of 170 kilometres of Ayodhya Ram temple. While talking with Moneycontrol, the MD and Founder of Cygnett Hotels and Resorts said that all their rooms have been booked for January. The average rent of rooms in his hotels has crossed Rs 85,000. Cygnett Collection KK has booked 45% of the rooms of all its hotels in Ayodhya for the temple trust so that VIPs can be accommodated there. All the rooms at Cygnett Collection KK Hotel have been booked in advance for January. Each of their rooms has been purchased at a price of around Rs 85,000, while some have crossed even this threshold.

Radisson opened Park Inn in Ayodhya last week to capitalise on the massive tourism opportunity in the temple town. Radisson’s Park Inn Hotel received a flood of bookings immediately after its launch. All the hotel rooms are booked for January 21-22. The hotel has not shared its room prices on any public platform yet. Given the increasing tourism with the inauguration of Ram Temple, the Ayodhya Development Authority ( ADA) is also pushing for the homestay model of the last few months, as per the report of CNBC. These homestays have been identified and registered by the tourism department along with the city’s development authorities.
