The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) under Ministry of Railways, Government of India is all set to release recruitment notification for about 5695 vacant posts for Assistant Loco Pilot. As per official notification, the vacancies are expected to be filled through the recruitment drive undertaken in the 21 zones of the Indian Railways. Candidates willing to apply for the vacant posts in the Indian Railways can visit the official website of Indian Railways. The online application window will be open from January 20. The last date to apply is February 19.
RRB ALP Recruitment 2024: Eligibility
According to the notification, candidates applying for the post needs to be 10th pass and hold ITI from a recognised institute of NCVT/SCVT in the trades of Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic (Radio/TV), Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature and coil winder, Mechanical (Diesel), Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic.
Besides, the applicant will also be eligible for the post if he is 10th Passed with three Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/ Electronics/Automobile Engineering or a combination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognised institution in lieu of ITI.
According to the notification, the minimum age to apply for the post is 18 years, while the maximum age limit is 30 years.
RRB ALP Recruitment 2024: Application Fees
As per the notice, Female/EBC/SC/ST/Ex-Serviceman/Transgender/Minorities candidates for the post are required to pay an application fee of Rs 250, while other candidates will need to pay Rs 500 to apply.

RRB ALP Recruitment 2024: Salary
The basic salary for the RRB Assistant Loco Pilot is Rs 19,900 categorised within level two of the seventh central pay commission pay scale. The total salary for ALPs ranges between Rs 25,000 to 35,000 per month.
