'Won't Compromise': CM Bhagwant Mann Says AAP Will Fight on All 13 Lok Sabha Seats in Punjab
Reportedly, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal has approved Punjab's unit proposal for the party to contest the general elections alone

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) might fight the upcoming Lok Sabha election by itself on all 13 Lok Sabha seats of Punjab, chief minister Bhagwant Mann said. “We will not compromise,” the AAP leader added.

According to an India Today report, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal has approved Punjab’s unit proposal for the party to contest the general elections alone.

The report added that the Kejriwal-led party might not fight the election with Congress because of its adamant nature about seat-sharing.

The decision from CM Mann comes immediately after Trinamool Congress supremo and West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee declared that her party will go solo in Bengal for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.

Last week as well, Mann had said that AAP will win all 13 seats in Punjab. However, he dodged the question of whether his party will enter into an alliance with the Congress.

“I have said several times that Punjab will become a hero and the Aam Aadmi Party will win all 13 (Lok Sabha) seats. The people of Punjab love AAP and they have given 92 (Assembly) seats to AAP and gave the party power which is being used for the welfare of the people,” he had said.

Maintaining that AAP workers and volunteers in Punjab were “very excited” about the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Mann had noted, “Punjab has always created new records, be it the green revolution or the freedom struggle. Punjab is famous for creating new stories and this time it will create a 13-0 record.”

Punjab has 13 Lok Sabha seats and the AAP is in seat-sharing talks with the Congress in Delhi and other states.
