New Suits Series Is In The Works? Here's What We Know
The cast for the series has not been revealed.

Suits is one of the most popular TV shows of all time. Over the years there have been many talks about the show’s revival. Recently, NBCUniversal has announced that the show makers are working on a pilot episode of “Suits: L.A”, a spinoff that will start production in late March in Vancouver. Suits creator Aaron Korsh will be writing the show, while Doug Liman, who has hits like 2002’ The Bourne Identity and 2005’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith will be the executive producer. A cast for the new show is yet to be announced.

The Suits: LA will revolve around Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York who is now running his own private L.A. firm. The show’s logline reads: “Ted’s firm is at a crisis point, and in order to survive he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career. Ted is surrounded by a stellar group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives. All of this is going on while events from years ago slowly unravel that led Ted to leave behind everything and everyone he loved.”

Suits aired for nine seasons from 2011-2019 on USA Network. In June 2023, Netflix added its first eight seasons on the streaming platform, where it quickly broke many records. By the end of 2023, Suits had become the most streamed show of the year.

On January 7, four main cast members of the show Gabriel Macht, Patrick Adams, Gine Torres, and Sarah Rafferty, reunited at the 2024 Golden Globes. Together they presented the award for best television series (drama) to Succession.

In a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Gabriel Macht, who played Harvey Specter in the show, spoke about Suits Netflix streaming numbers and said that the show was globally popular with people pirating it, so the makers were happy to say yes when the streaming giant Netflix offered to put in on the platform.

Patrick J. Adams, who played Mike Ross, expressed his fondness for the show and said, “If I got the phone call, I’m ready to suit up again. I love the show, I love the character and I loved working with all these people.”
